Four arrests were made by the Menifee Police Department during a DUI checkpoint held on Saturday.

A total of 258 vehicles were screened from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. near the intersection of Scott Road and Lindenberger Road, according to a news release from Menifee PD. Two drivers were arrested for DUI and one was arrested for driving on a suspended license for DUI and a warrant.

In addition, one driver was arrested for weapons charges after making an illegal U-turn to avoid the checkpoint.

Twelve drivers were cited for various vehicle code violations. Six vehicles were towed.

The Menifee Police Department will hold another DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint on Saturday, Dec. 14.
