Motorists planning to travel on the 215 Freeway through Menifee are advised to use extra caution because of road work by Caltrans crews next week.
The work is scheduled from Tuesday, Dec. 3 to Thursday, Dec. 5 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the area from one mile north of Clinton Keith Road to one mile north of Newport Road, according to a Caltrans news release. In addition, the Scott Road loop off-ramp will have a lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those days.
Crews are scheduled to work on both the northbound and southbound directions. According to the press release, “The project aims to improve road surface, update shoulder rumble strips, enhance culverts, upgrade guardrails, stabilize slopes, and boost highway worker safety.”
Work will include landscaping, rock blanket installation, and other related activities. Shoulder closures and lane reductions will be in effect.
