Menifee City Council District 2 representative Ricky Estrada continued to move closer in the voting Tuesday to District 3 rep Lesa Sobek, according to the latest Menifee mayoral election update from the Riverside County Registrar of Voters office.
Sobek’s lead was reduced to 167 votes, with more votes still to be counted. Elizabeth Florer, public information officer for the Registrar’s Office, told Menifee 24/7 today that it could be another week before the count is final. Throughout Riverside County, about 70,000 vote-by-mail ballots and 35,000 Conditional Voter Registration ballots are yet to be counted. Florer did not have information on the number of ballots remaining to be counted in Menifee.
