Wrapping up the weekend in local high school football…
Senior quarterback Daniel Marlow passed for one touchdown and ran for two more scores as the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers defeated The Webb Schools by a 43-12 score Saturday night.
Marlow rushed for 75 yards and the two TDs as the Rangers built a 43-6 lead by halftime and never looked back. Santa Rosa Academy is now 6-2 overall. In addition to Marlow’s rushing TDs, scores on the ground were also made by Dominic Vicente-Thomas, Nick Welty, and Caleb Delgado.
Marlow continued to add to his impressive season statistics. He has now passed for 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns and has rushed for 863 yards and 21 TDs.
Elsewhere, Liberty High improved its record to 3-5 with a 49-14 win over JW North at home on Thursday. Junior running back Parris Peacock had a monster game with 210 yards rushing for three touchdowns.
Trent Hallis ran for 123 yards and a touchdown and Jaylen Skelton ran for 71 yards and two scores. Brian Woisin also scored on a 24-yard run.
In another local game, Paloma Valley’s record to slipped to 5-3 in a 34-12 loss to Rancho Verde. Junior quarterback Isaac Navarro passed for 119 yards and a touchdown. Arthur Clemons threw a 46-yard touchdown pass.
In a game reported earlier by Menifee 24/7, Heritage scored a 56-14 victory over visiting Lakeside. You can read about that game here.
