Paloma Valley and Liberty will be at home for first-round matches Wednesday in the CIF-SS girls volleyball playoffs.
Paloma Valley, 19-7 overall, will be at home for a 5 p.m. match against St. Margaret’s, which boasts a 15-7 overall mark, in Division 3. Paloma lost its most recent match to Ivy League champion last Tuesday.
The Wildcats are led by Lara Martinez, who has 332 kills on the season; Deziree Garcia, who has 35 blocks; and Grace Liesemeyer, who has 222 digs.
Liberty, 15-9 overall, will play host to Elsinore in a 6 p.m. first-round match on Wednesday. The Bison finished second in the Sunbelt League. Elsinore is 13-13 overall.
In another Division 6 opener, Santa Rosa Academy will play at Pomona Catholic. The Rangers are 14-8 overall and will face a Pomona Catholic team that is 27-4.
