On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Menifee Police Department will team up with MilVet, faith-based organizations, and community members for the National Faith and Blue event, supporting active-duty military personnel and first responders. The event will take place at the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center (29995 Evans Road, Menifee, CA 92586) from 1-4 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to help assemble 200 care packages for deployed military members. In addition, local veterans and first responders can explore various available resources to address their unique needs.
The Menifee Police Department encourages the entire community to join the event on Oct. 5. For those unable to attend, donations are welcome year-round at both the Menifee and Sun City Libraries during business hours. Suggested items include chewing gum, candy, beef jerky, Chapstick, wet wipes, and more, with a full list available at menifeepolice.org/faith/.
Founded in 2020, Faith and Blue aims to strengthen and secure communities by fostering relationships between law enforcement, residents, businesses, and community groups. Through this initiative, local law enforcement can collaborate with community leaders to better serve the public.
