Liberty girls volleyball team advances to second round of CIF

The Liberty High School girls volleyball team will play at Segerstrom Saturday night in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs after defeating Elsinore Thursday night, 3-0.

The Bison improved their overall record to 14-10 with the victory. They finished second in the Sunbelt League in the regular season with a 7-2 mark.

In the other volleyball playoff opener involving a local team Thursday night, Santa Rosa Academy lost to Pomona Catholic, 3-0.
