Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with Cadillac

A motorcyclist is listed in critical condition after being struck by a Cadillac sedan Saturday near the intersection of Scott Road and Murrieta Road in Menifee, police said.

Officers responded at 11:37 a.m. to find a downed motorcyclist in the eastbound lanes of Scott Road east of Murrieta Road, according to a Menifee Police Department news release. The rider sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The Cadillac was stopped in a business driveway off Scott Road. The driver did not sustain any injuries and was cooperating with investigators. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision, but the cause remains under investigation.

According to police, the Honda motorcycle was traveling east on Scott Road when it collided with the Cadillac, which was making southbound turn into a driveway from the westbound lane. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Cadillac and the rider was ejected.
