Menifee man arrested, accused of sexual assault in Ontario

Police last week arrested a Menifee man accused of sexually assaulting multiple female juvenile victims at his former residence in Ontario.

Jose Alcides Vazquez, 47 and most recently the pastor at Camino de Santidad Church in Menifee, was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on several felony offenses, according to an Ontario PD news release. His arrest came after a three-year investigation.

In August 2021, an Ontario Police School Resource Officer was notified by a school administrator that a student accused their neighbor of sexually assaulting her. During the investigation, evidence was gathered. In July 2024, another victim came forward and additional evidence was gathered that incriminated Vasquez.

Ontario Police Department officers arrested Vasquez at his Menifee residence without incident on Sept. 5.
