Eugene Bartlett honored as Menifee's Citizen of the Month

Eugene “Johnny” Bartlett II was honored by the Menifee City Council on Wednesday as the Outstanding Citizen of the Month for September.

Bartlett works as a security officer at the Cherry Hills Plaza, where he has been a positive influence in improving the shopping and dining experience of residents in that part of the Sun City community. Council member Ricky Estrada, who selected Bartlett for the award, praised his efforts during the presentation.

“The work you do there is priceless,” Estrada said. “In addition to keeping the area safe, you are out beautifying the property. You make sure the bushes are trimmed and the roadways are well maintained. Thank you for the job you do.”

“So many people are involved in trying to improve the quality of life in Menifee,” said Mayor Bill Zimmerman. “Folks like you are there to encourage people to do the right thing.”
