Menifee residents are invited to interact with members of the Menifee Police Department at the annual National Night Out, set for Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Centennial Park, 31166 Shire Horse Way.

The first 750 K-12th grade students will receive a free backpack and school supplies. Students must be present to receive the backpack. Food and drinks will be available for purchase through food vendors.

Attendees can pay for a chance to dunk the chief and captains at the dunk tank. There is also an opportunity sign up for discounted dog microchipping. Bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the fun.
