A public hearing will be held before the Menifee Planning Commission on Sept. 11 to consider approval of a subdivision of 325 single family condominium lots in northeast Menifee.
The project, known as Salt Creek, would be built on 55.4 acres on the southwest corner of Simpson Road and Briggs Road, according to a city document. It would be located just north of the Salt Creek channel and east of an existing housing development.
The purpose of the hearing is to adopt a mitigated negative declaration regarding environmental impact on the area.
The project is scheduled to include both traditional single family tract lots and motor court lots. A 4.9-acre city park is proposed for the southern end of the project. Additional amenities include a 1.4-acre HOA maintained paseo, including walking paths, and a recreation center including a pool, barbecue area and shade structures.
The public notice for this project is being circulated for a 30-day review period pursuant to state law. This period continues until Sept. 3. The full document can be found at the following web address: http://www.cityofmenifee.us/325/Environmental-Notices-Documents.
