Menifee 12-year-old finishes second in IMMAF Worlds

A young mixed martial arts competitor from Menifee is making a name for himself in international circles.

JJ Moreno, age 12, traveled to Abu Dhabi on Aug. 6 and finished second in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation world championships. The 70-pounder, who trains at Fight Syndicate in Murrieta, isn’t done yet, however.

On Aug. 31 through Sept. 7, he will compete in the IMMAF Pan American Chamionships in Monterrey, Mexico.
