Candidate introduction: Felix Montano runs for District 3

Editor’s note: It’s campaign season for candidates seeking local public office. As residents are certified as official candidates, we invite them to submit an introductory statement for publication. They also have the option of purchasing paid political advertisements. In today’s statement we hear from Felix Montano, a candidate for City Council in District 3, the southeast portion of the city.

Hello, Menifee neighbors! My name is Felix Montano, and I’m happy to announce that I’m running for City Council in District 3. I’ve lived in Menifee since 2017, along with my wife of over 20 years and our three boys. I’m a regular resident with no business ties in the city, and I want to serve our community by helping to address some of the challenges we face as our city grows.

We need more recreational programs for different sports to keep our kids active. The homeless issue is something we need to work on with care and understanding. The rising cost of rent and home prices is making it hard for many people, especially those on fixed incomes, to stay in Menifee.

Traffic and congestion are problems that affect us all. I want to focus on projects that will help ease these issues and make it easier for everyone to get around. Even though we might have different opinions, it’s important to come together and find the best solutions for our city.

I’m running for City Council because I want to represent you and make sure Menifee remains a great place to live.
