Multiple people injured in four-vehicle collision on Highway 74

Multiple people received minor injuries Wednesday in a four-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 74 and Menifee Road, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 10:45 a.m., according to the Menifee Police Department. The crash triggered a fire in one of the vehicles that was quickly put out by firefighters. The occupants of the vehicles escaped the flames, according to Cal Fire.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
