New courthouse now open in Menifee Town Center

The Menifee Justice Center opened July 8 in Menifee Town Center.

The new Menifee Justice Center opened earlier this month in Menifee Town Center, just south of the Krikorian Theater site.

The courthouse will handle family law matters and civil cases only. There will be no criminal cases there.

According to the Riverside County courts website, the facility will replace an existing courthouse (reportedly in Hemet) and will provide space for four new judicial officers. The website stats that the building “will include family law mediation, self-help and jury services; very minimal in-custody detention will be provided."

The building is approximately 85,010 square feet. There will be nine courtrooms. Construction began in December 2021.
