Jayden Epps of Paloma Valley High School qualified for the CIF finals in the discus.
An elite group of local athletes will represent their school a the CIF Southern Section track and field finals, to be held Saturday at Moorpark High School.
Heritage High School’s Andreese Ortiz qualified in two events – the shot put (42-3) and the discus (124-9). The Patriots will also be represented by Terrence Whaley in the 110 high hurdles (14.74).
Three athletes from Paloma Valley qualified for the finals: Jayden Epps in the discus (173-7), Arthur Clemons in the triple jump (44-2 ½), and Matthew Monsanto in the high jump (6-2).
Juan Juarez of Liberty qualified in the 800 meters (1:54.46). Santa Rosa Academy’s Braylon Taylor qualified in the triple jump (42-0 ¾).
