Police seeking driver in fatal hit-and-run collision

Police are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle in an incident that killed a Winchester man Wednesday night.

The pedestrian was running northbound along the east shoulder of the 28700 block of Bradley Road when he was struck by a vehicle, which is possibly a 2021-2023 Hyundai Elantra, according to a Menifee Police Department news release. The victim, identified by the Coroner’s Office as 25-year-old Victor Bello, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver made no attempt to stop, and instead fled the scene.

Investigators are actively attempting to locate the vehicle. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has more information is asked to call Officer Norwood at 951-723-1612 or the Traffic Unit at 951-723-1690.
