Janessa Giugliano pitched a complete game with three strikeouts and no walks for the Bison, who improved their record to 20-6. They will face Grace High of Simi Valley on Thursday at a site to be determined in the quarterfinals.
Liberty finished with 13 hits. Attiana Thompson went 3 for 4, Haley Kitzerow was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, and Julianna Larson went 2 for 5. Mark Keppel scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh but fell well short.
In another Division 5 game, Paloma Valley lost at Linfield Christian, 6-5.
