Congratulations to three local high school athletes who capped off impressive seasons with their performances in last weekend’s CIF State track meet in Clovis, California.
Paloma Valley’s Jayden Epps placed 12th in the discus with a throw of 149-3 in the finals. He posted a personal best of 194-9 in the prelims.
Heritage High’s Andreese Ortiz placed eighth in the girls discus finals with a mark of 134-2. She also placed 12th in the shot put at 38-5.
Liberty High’s Juan Juarez placed 10th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.71.
