Colleen Ackerman named Menifee's Citizen of the Month

Longtime Menifee resident and community volunteer Colleen Ackerman was honored by the City Council last week as Menifee’s Outstanding Citizen of the Month.

Ackerman serves as president of Arts Council Menifee, promoting events such as the upcoming Menifee’s Got Talent show. She also serves the community in many other ways and is a cheerful presence to all with whom she comes in contact.

“I have seen Colleen for years be of service to the community,” said council member Lesa Sobek. “I asked Colleen why she serves, and she said, ‘There’s no greater joy than serving others.’”

“You’ve always been such as positive influence on all of us,” Mayor Bill Zimmerman said.
