City to host Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

MENIFEE – The City of Menifee welcomes all residents and guests to join us in honoring the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Menifee's Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony will be held this year on Monday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at Wheatfield Park (30627 Menifee Road).

The ceremony is free to the public and will include special presentations, guest speakers, a remembrance message, wreath-laying, and a flyover. Attendees will be given flowers to place around the memorial wreath to honor their loved ones during the ceremony.

"Memorial Day is a day of reflection to pay respect to our fallen service members,” said Mayor Pro Tem Dean Deines. “Our country continues to thrive because of the sacrifices made by those who died protecting our freedom and values, and the City of Menifee is proud to honor their service.”

The City of Menifee’s Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony would not be possible without the help of community partners including Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District, Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, Zachary Bach Real Estate, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1956.

Throughout the year, Menifee families may honor military veterans and active duty service members by purchasing a military banner through the City of Menifee’s Banner Program. These banners exhibit the supplied military portrait of the service member, along with their name and affiliation to the United States Armed Forces that is supplied by family members.
