Three Paloma Valley High School students were recognized this week as winners of the City of Menifee’s Winter Teen Awards.
Students at local schools are honored for their accomplishments, including school feats and community service. The winners were honored at Wednesday’s City Council meeting.
Benny Sevilla was honored as the All-Star Athlete. A 4.0 student, Sevilla stars for the Wildcats basketball and volleyball teams. He has also worked to raise money for basketball camps.
Alfredo Chavez was honored as the Inspiring Academic student. He maintains a 3.8 GPA and will have accumulated 46 college credits by graduation. He aspires to become a doctor.
Aliza Lazaro was honored as the Outstanding Citizen. She serves as president of the Youth Leaders of Menifee, a program sponsored by the City of Menifee. She also is active in AVID, Link Crew and the Latin Culture Club at school.
