A Menifee woman was one of two people killed Monday in a three-vehicle crash in Moreno Valley, authorities said.
Keiana Bridgeforth, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place about 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Kitching Street, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Office news release.
According to RSO, two Dodger Ram pickups and a Lexus sedan collided in the rain. Bridgeforth was the driver of the Lexus. The driver and a passenger of a white Dodge Ram were medically evaluated for non-life threatening injuries.
A gray Dodge Ram landed in a nearby flood channel. A passenger in the van was assisted by witnesses and was transported with non-life threatening injuries. Members of the Swift Water Rescue Team began a search for the driver, who was no longer in the vehicle.
The driver was located in the flood channel at Ramona Expressway and Evans Road in Perris, according to RSO. That person was pronounced dead. He was identified as Isaac Piza, 25, of San Bernardino.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
