Santa Rosa celebrates murals on gymnasium walls

School and City officials celebrated the mural on the gym walls with a ribbon cutting.

MENIFEE -- Santa Rosa Academy Administration and Governing Board this week celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new murals on the gymnasium.

The Santa Rosa Academy gymnasium was opened nearly 10 years ago, functioning as both a beneficial asset to the city but to SRA athletics and physical education classes as well. Council member and SRA teacher Ricky Estrada says, “The gym murals will be a great view for the city and a great opportunity to share our character and pride with the City of Menifee.”

Estrada also spoke about the many successes Santa Rosa Academy has had here in Menifee and that recent scores revealed SRA has the best testing scores in Science, English and Math in comparison to neighboring schools. Santa Rosa Academy received a certificate of congratulations from the City of Menifee for the Gymnasium Mural Ribbon Cutting.

The certificate states “The City continues to appreciate the continued investment in our city and wishes you many successful years serving the many needs of our residents, students and the future workforce. Congratulations.”

Santa Rosa Academy is thankful to the City of Menifee, Menifee Union School District, Menifee City Council Members, Menifee Mayor Zimmerman, Canyon Lake Mayor Welty, Mural Artist Fernando Valdez Zamora and Santa Rosa Academy Staff, Students and Families.
