Menifee residents will be able to use the Paloma Valley High School pool next summer, thanks to an agreement between the City of Menifee and the Perris Union High School District.
According to the agreement, which runs through June 2026, the City will implement summer aquatics programs to be held at Paloma Valley’s new pool. Preliminary plans call for the pool to be open Monday through Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost for pool use will be $2 for residents and $3 for nonresidents.
Pool time will be split between recreational swim time and swim lessons, which will be held in June and July. Cost of the program to the City is $107,500 in the first year.
The agreement includes plans for 15 lifeguards, swim instructors and pool managers. Projected City revenue through the program is $14,500.
“This will serve our residents while we see whether we can afford to build [a pool],” said City Council member Dean Deines during last week’s City Council meeting.
