Pedestrian dies in collision on McCall Boulevard

Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on McCall Boulevard Sunday night.

Police responded at 10:20 p.m. Sunday to a location on McCall Boulevard near the intersection of Sherman Road, according to a Menifee PD news release. Timothy George, 47, of Hemet was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation revealed that George was walking in the westbound lane of McCall and wearing non-reflective clothing when he was struck by a Honda Accord.

The driver of the Honda called 911 from a nearby gas station. Neither drugs nor alcohol are considered a factor for the driver. The roadway remained closed for several hours during the investigation.
