Santa Rosa Academy won its first-round playoff match on Thursday.

Two area girls volleyball teams will be in action in the second round of the CIF playoffs on Saturday.

In Division 8, Liberty won its opener over La Sierra Academy, 3-0. The Bison will travel to Le Lycee High of Los Angeles for a second-round match. Liberty is 13-10 overall.

In Division 9, Santa Rosa Academy will be at home Saturday at 6 p.m. against University Prep. The Rangers won their first-round match against Shalhevet in five sets on Thursday. SRA is 11-14 overall.
