The City of Menifee last week announced agreements to bring three new hotels to the city.
In a video presented during the State of the City address, city officials announced the following, which are all still in the processing stages and have no timetable yet for start of construction. They are:
-- Holiday Inn and Suites, a four-story, 98-room hotel to be located on the corner of Scott Road and Zeiders Road.
-- Hampton Inn and Suites, a four-story, 71-room hotel to be located next to LA Fitness on Antelope Road.
-- Hilton Home2Suites, a four-story, 106-room extended stay hotel to be located behind Living Spaces on Antelope Road.
Why do we need 3 hotels? Are people coming to town for the weekend for all the entertainment events we have going on? Are they coming to watch the built building Rot and Fall over? How about we incentivize someone to build that theater and bowling alley! This was a main selling point to everyone buying new homes in 2018/2019. Our city leaders have failed and continue to fail!
ReplyDeleteWhy do we need 3 more hotels? is there really a need for hotels in this area? how will the police ensure that illegal activities wont happen at these locations? this sounds like a bad idea for Menifee. Look at Hemet, they have so many hotels down florida and we know what goes on there.
