An annual tradition resumes tonight when Heritage High plays at Paloma Valley in the Menifee Bowl football game.
Paloma Valley won the game for the first time in 12 tries last year, 28-19, in a rain-soaked game played at a neutral field because of smoky conditions in Menifee from the Fairview Fire. The Wildcats take a 2-1 record into tonight’s 7 p.m. game. Heritage, coming off a winless 2022 season, is 0-3 this fall.
Quarterback Brady Nelson leads the Paloma Valley offense, passing for 788 yards – an average of 262.7 yards per game – and 5 touchdowns. Damian Ramirez is the team’s leading rusher, gaining 213 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns.
Paloma Valley defeated Temescal Canyon (28-17) and Moreno Valley (27-20) before losing last week at Kaiser, 32-13.
Heritage’s losses have come against Steele Canyon (42-15), La Quinta (56-14) and Knight (18-7).
Menifee 24/7 will be at the game to provide complete coverage.
