Menifee expecting heavy rainfall, winds this weekend

Menifee is expecting heavy rainfall and winds from a tropical storm this weekend. Here's a special announcement from the City of Menifee:

The following facilities will be closed (Sunday 8/20 & Monday 8/21):
Audie Murphy Ranch Skate Park
Gale Webb Pump Track - Dirt Jump Lines
City of Menifee Sports Fields

Residents can pick-up free self-serve sandbags at following locations:
Menifee Fire Stations (sand will be available after 12 p.m. today, August 18br/> Station 5: 28971 Goetz Rd.
Station 76: 29950 Menifee Rd.
Station 68: 26020 Wickerd Rd.
Public Works and Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) | 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. 27860 Bradley Rd.

Turn your headlights on
Follow posted traffic signs
Maintain a safe distance from other cars
Give yourself extra time for travel
Avoid standing water
Defog your windows
Make sure your windshield wipers are in good condition
