Paid political announcement:
Jonathan Ingram today announced that his campaign continues to maintain a large fundraising lead over his incumbent opponent in the race for Riverside County’s Third District Supervisorial seat.
Having outraised the incumbent supervisor, appointed progressive Democrat Chuck Washington, by more than two-to-one in the last reporting period, Ingram’s campaign continues to show strength for the period ending June 30, which became publicly available this week.
At the midyear filing deadline, Ingram’s campaign reported an overall campaign haul of over $194,000 to Washington’s $162,000. Ingram also has raised more than $15,000 in the month of July alone, topping more than $209,0000 raised.
“For a challenger to outraise a sitting supervisor in one fundraising period is unprecedented. For Jonathan Ingram to maintain that lead just shows the broad support and continued strength of his campaign and the extreme weakness of his opponent,” said Ingram’s Campaign Manager, Dennis Hollingsworth. “Ingram’s campaign is being flooded with volunteers and grassroots support. I’ve never seen a campaign draw so much support so quickly. People are hungry for leadership in this district.” Hollingsworth continued.
“I am humbled by all the support from so many wonderful and generous people from Riverside County and look forward to carving out solutions that have been lacking for far too long,” said Ingram.
Ingram said his campaign message of backing our public safety teams and fire personnel, keeping taxes low, attracting local well-paying jobs, reducing long commutes, and fighting for our fair share of road and highway dollars is hitting home with the people of the district.
“I know what it’s like to go unheard and for problems to remain unsolved,” said Ingram. “I look forward to making sure Riverside County government is as small as possible, with the lowest taxes possible, to deliver the services we need efficiently and responsibly.”
“Working in my community as a small business owner for more than 30 years and serving as mayor of my city, I understand the issues families face,” he continued. “I will bring solutions to office and will work tirelessly for you, the residents of Riverside County. With your continued support, our county’s best days are ahead.”
The new boundaries of the Third Supervisorial District were recently adopted and include the cities of Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, and Wildomar. The Third District also includes the unincorporated communities of Anza, Aguanga, Lake Riverside, Sage, French Valley, Winchester, Green Acres, Homeland, Romoland, East Hemet, and part of Valle Vista.
