Menifee Police Chief Pat Walsh presents Sergeant Matt Bloch with the Chief's Award.

The Menifee Police Department last week honored outstanding employees during its third annual awards ceremony. Here are the honorees:

Certificate of Recognition: Presented to an employee who performed above and beyond normal duties in a manner deserving of formal recognition or selfless service, whether on or off duty, which brings credit to the department:

Jose Diaz (Code Enforcement), Gagik Khoudian (Police Officer), Scott Burleigh (Volunteer), Tracy Hutchison (Volunteer), Justin Metoyer (Volunteer), Jeff Gootman (Volunteer), Sandra Lynch (Volunteer), Samuel Perkins (Volunteer), Audrey Allenson (Murrieta PD), Jenni Barnett (Murrieta PD), Lori Koza (Murrieta PD), Melissa Raymond (Murrieta PD).

Fitness Award: Presented to a department member who demonstrates the highest standard of physical fitness during annual fitness and wellness testing:

Matt Bloch (Sergeant), Alberto Balcazar (Officer), Evelio Carrera (Officer), Trong Dinh (Officer), Andrew Gonzalez (Officer), Lyon Ho (Officer), Thomas Horner (Officer), Alicia Ingram (Officer), Luis Isarraraz (Sergeant), Amber Marcinko (Officer), Nick Piunno (Officer), Nicolle Quenga (Officer), Christina Reveles (Lieutenant), Tyler Roach (Officer), Summer Samano (Officer).

M.A.D.D. Award (Mothers Against Drunk Driving): Charles Flores (Officer).

10851 Award: The CHP developed the 10851 (vehicle code for stolen vehicle) Award Program to recognize the superior efforts CHP and allied law enforcement personnel who have met specified criteria toward the reduction of stolen vehicle crimes:

Damon Bowen (Officer), Nick Piunno (Officer).

Distinguished Service Award: Effective law enforcement can only be accomplished with the support and cooperation of citizens throughout the city:

Raquel Martinez. Martha Nunez.

Exceptional Service Award: The Exceptional Service award will be presented to an officer who provided outstanding service to the public, or who continuously achieves excellence in the performance of duties over an extended period of time:

Jason Kaub (Officer), Eric Springer (Officer), Erin Ybanez (Office Specialist II), Chris Miller (Volunteer), Ed Walsh (Volunteer).

Team Achievement Award: The Team Achievement award will be presented to a group of two or more individuals who collectively engaged in a program or operation that exemplified an extra ordinary quality of service, or other highly credible accomplishment:

Community Service Officers: Brianna Chairez & Robert Frederick; Records Bureau: Maria Gutierrez & Aileen Lopez; Homeless Liaison Officer: Rochelle Hunter; Behavioral Health Specialist: Rachel Ryan; Investigations Bureau: Onye Agbodike, Laura Barnes, Nicole Epps, Joshua Fernandez, Amber Marcinko, Ryan McNinch, Nicole Kemp, Dennis Tollefson, & Terence York; Explorer Advisors: Kevin Brooks, Megan Borunda, Trong Dinh, Houstan Downey, Andrew Gonzalez, Nicole Kemp, Amber Marcinko, Ryan McNinch, Quincy Mercado, Melissa Miller, James Murphy, & Summer Samano.

Life Saving Award: Presented to a department member in recognition of a prompt and unselfish act of rendering aid and assistance to a fellow citizen that resulted in the preservation of life:

Damon Bowen (Officer), Thomas Horner (Officer), Thomas Perez (Officer), Liam McNinch (Officer)

Professional Staff of the Year: to be awarded to a non-sworn employee in recognition of superior overall job performance and/or for contributing to the improvement of the organization and its ability to provide law enforcement services to the public:

Christine Booker (Budget and Grants Analyst).

Police Officer of the year: to be awarded to a sworn officer in recognition of superior overall job performance and/or for contributing to the improvement of the organization and its ability to provide law enforcement service to the public:

Thomas Horner (Officer).

Chief’s Award: Matthew Bloch (Sergeant).
