Heritage High School celebrates Class of 2023

Graduating students file into the stadium at the Heritage High School commencement exercises.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023, which participated in commencement exercises at Heritage High School on Friday.

After ASB President Naomi Andersson gave the official greeting, the class was introduced to a capacity crowd of family and friends by Lindsay Chavez, school principal. David Nelissen, member of the Perris Union High School District board of education, then addressed the audience.

Speeches were given by Salutatorians Jaclyn Nguyen and Zachary Ray and Valedictorian Grace Genes. Following the awarding of diplomas, the turning of the tassel was led by Faith Kasper, ASB vice president. Members of the Heritage Music Program performed “Part of Me”.
