Santa Rosa Academy pounded out 10 hits and defeated host Palm Valley 20-0 by mercy rule in four innings in a CIF Division 7 wild card baseball game on Tuesday.

The Rangers led 8-0 before scoring 12 runs in the top of the fourth inning. Pitchers Moses George and Andrew Hopper combined to allow just two hits as SRA improved its season record to 7-7.

Leading hitters included Sam Torres (2 for 3, double, RBI, 3 runs); Cole Ulrick (2 for 3, 2 doubles, 5 RBIs, 2 runs); Dominic Zagone (2 for 4, double, RBI, 3 runs); and Tyler Kaewpalug (2 RBIs, 2 runs).

SRA will play at Banning Thursday at 3:15 p.m. in a Division 7 first-round game.
