Popular Mexican restaurant Provecho closes its doors

Local residents reacted with shock and sadness last weekend over the sudden announcement that popular Mexican restaurant Provecho Grill was closing its business.

For 11 years, the restaurant located in the Cherry Hills Plaza has been a popular destination for residents – many of whom expressed their thanks to award-winning chef Rosie O’Connor on social media.

Some got the chance to do that Friday night, when O’Connor announced to customers that it was Provecho’s last night to do business. This weekend the following statement was posted on the Provecho Facebook page:

“While we have enjoyed our 11-year run at Provecho Grill, we have chosen not to renew our lease. It was one of the hardest decisions to make.

“We want to thank every individual that has walked through our door for the amazing support! This would not have happened if it weren’t for such a fantastic community. This goes out to our staff, our patrons, our vendors and all the amazing people we have met throughout this journey. Although the doors have closed, our time together will not be forgotten.

“Menifee has been incredible! Thanks for the memories.”
