A Menifee woman died Sunday night in a single-vehicle traffic collision in the city, authorities said.
Officers responded at 11:52 p.m. to the report of the collision near the intersection of McCall Boulevard and Sherman Road, according to a Menifee Police Department news release. First responders found a woman suffering from major injuries. Firefighters began lifesaving measures.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her identity has not been released.
A traffic investigation indicated that the Nissan Versa was traveling westbound on McCall, east of Sherman Road, when it struck a curb, overturned, and the woman was ejected. At this time, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
