Volunteers performed a massive yard clean-up at a local residence in the 2017 Menifee Better Together event.
Menifee residents are invited to participate in one of the city’s biggest annual volunteer events – the Menifee Better Together revitalization and beautification program.
Menifee Better Together will take place this Saturday, April 22, from 7 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will be assigned clean-up duties at locations throughout the city. These include senior home revitalization, flower potting, COVID-19 Memorial rock painting, planting native plants, and tree planting.
Volunteers must register at this link and sign up for one of the many projects. You can sign up as an individual, family or group. Groups of six or more must designate a team leader. Youth under 18 must have a parent, guardian or advisor for every four youths participating.
The event will start with a brief welcome ceremony and safety message at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center, located at 29725 Bradley Road. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt, and a grab-n-go breakfast will be provided. A free barbeque lunch will be provided at the Stake Center when volunteers return.
Residents have shown their volunteer spirit in many ways at this event over the years. Here is a look back at one of the previous Menifee Better Together events.
