Press release from the Rotary Club of Menifee:
Calling all current high school juniors! You are invited to apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), a leadership conference lasting three days, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Menifee. There are two sessions of the RYLA conference which are scheduled for this spring: March 17-19 and April 14-16 at Thousand Pines Campgrounds in Crestline.
RYLA is an outstanding youth program to develop leadership skills. Offered and supported by 63 Rotary Clubs in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. RYLA combines learning in a casual relaxed atmosphere with social and fun times to provide a fast-paced and memorable leadership experience.
Connect with other student leaders in your community to:
-- Build communication and problem-solving skills
-- Discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school and community
-- Learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors
-- Unlock your potential to turn motivation into action
-- Have fun and form lasting friendships
Rotary will provide roundtrip bus transportation to the conference, along with meals and admission fees. The Rotary Club of Menifee can sponsor up to six or more students.
Interviews will be held in late February. The opportunity is available to both public and private school students.
To apply to be sponsored for RYLA, students should contact their high school counselor or Darcy Kuenzi, Rotary Club of Menifee President, at darcyk@email.com.
