Four Menifee high school teams won wild card CIF playoff openers the last two days and will advance in the postseason competition.

The Paloma Valley High girls water polo team won the first playoff game ever held in their new campus pool Tuesday, defeating Long Beach Cabrillo 13-3. The Wildcats will play at Tahquitz today in a first-round game.

In girls soccer, Paloma Valley defeated Yucaipa 3-2 in a wild card game on Monday and will play at Coachella Valley today. The Heritage boys soccer team beat Bosco Tech 4-2 Tuesday and will play a first-round game at Oxford Academy on Thursday.

Santa Rosa Academy’s girls basketball team beat Redlands Adventist Academy 37-31 Tuesday and will play at Riverside Prep on Thursday. Heritage’s boys basketball lost a wild card game at Costa Mesa, 84-47.
