Kim Eileen Stone, the eldest daughter of Ben and Sylvia, passed away at 2:48 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 4, 2023 after a very short battle with respiratory (non-COVID) and heart problems which began Dec. 30. She is survived by husband Gary and their three sons Trenton, Colton, and Austin. Kim’s passing leaves an unfillable hole in her beloved family.
Kim worked at the Disneyland Hotel soon after graduating from Fountain Valley High School in 1976. After almost 15 years, she switched jobs to work at the Perris Union High School District (PUHSD) alongside her husband, whom she met at the Riverside Chicago Ave bowling alley in 1985; both in love at first sight.
Gary and Kim were married in 1988 and after Gary was hired in 1989 by the Perris Union High School District in 1990, they bought a house in Perris. Having married later in life they immediately began their family, having children in 1991, 1992, and 1993.
Kim was ever ready to help, being a caring and loving person. As a Special Education Aide at PUHSD (Pinacate Middle School, Perris High School, and Paloma Valley High School), she made impactful connections with her students, many continuing to stay in touch with her via Facebook after graduation. She touched so many lives, always in a positive way. Kim and Gary retired together at the end of the 2020 school year, during the COVID outbreak.
In lieu of flowers, gifts, and cards, please make a donation to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance online at sdzwa.org/memorial supporting her love of endangered big cats. On the form please use: "In Memory of: Kim Stone for the Frozen Zoo." No notification is necessary nor requested.
A public Gathering of Remembrance will take place at Evans-Brown Chapel, 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, CA 92585 Jan. 25, 2023 from 5 to 6 p.m. (Casual Attire). A family reserved graveside service is scheduled for a later date.
