Jhalister Corona joins MSJC Board of Trustees

Vicki Carpenter and Jhalister Corona are sworn in as trustees of Mt. San Jacinto College.

The Mt. San Jacinto College Board of Trustees welcomed new Trustee Jhalister Corona, who took the Oath of Office on Dec. 15. Corona replaces Ann Motte, the district's longest-serving board member, who chose not to seek re-election.

Corona, a teacher in the Perris Union High School District, represents Trustee Area 4, which includes Perris and Lake Elsinore. He took the Oath of Office alongside Trustee Vicki Carpenter of Trustee Area 3. She has served on the five-member panel since 2018 and was re-elected in November.

During its annual organizational meeting on Dec. 15, the Board selected Trustee Joshua Rivera, representing Area 2, as the new Board President, and Trustee Brian Sylva, serving Area 1, as the new Clerk.
