Menifee youngsters had fun picking out free Christmas gifts and visiting Santa on Saturday at the 17th annual Menifee Santa's Workshop at Quail Valley Elementary School.
The program, held in conjunction with the ABC Spark of Love Toy Drive, gives new, unwrapped toys, games, books and clothing items to underprivileged children in the area. Children are led by elves through the rows of toys and are allowed to pick out items.
Sponsors include the Menifee Valley Lion's Club, Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, Menifee Union School District, and Menifee Police and Fire Departments. Menifee resident Debbi Manion coordinates the effort each year and residents donate items to be given away.
The multipurpose room at Quail Valley Elementary School was full of toys for children to choose from.
There were plenty of stuffed animals to choose from, thanks to generous donors from Menifee.
