The following is a message from the cheer moms of Liberty High School regarding the sudden passing of Liberty student and cheerleader Clarissa Lewis and ways the public can support the family:

As many are aware, Clarissa Lewis (aka Rissa) lost her young and precious life in the tragic accident Sunday night on Old Newport Road. We are deeply saddened for her parents’ loss. She was a daughter, a sister, a niece, a granddaughter, a cousin, an aunt, and a friend. She brought a warm, energetic, sometimes crazy, fun-loving presence that would light up any room. She would always make the people around her laugh. Just hearing the many stories from family and friends, we are sure that her memory will live on forever.

The Liberty High School Cheer Team did not only lose a teammate, they lost a sister and a friend. Please continue to flood the crash site with mementos, flowers, and prayers of comfort and strength for her family. As you are driving by the crash site, please turn your hazard lights on to honor the five students involved and affected by this accident.

Jackie (Clarrisa’s mom) has expressed that she loves to see the outpouring of love and support this wonderful Menifee community has to offer her family in this time of need. She is planning on going to the site soon and loves all the support for her daughter. Here is the location: https://goo.gl/maps/45cAA31Us9SNYvkE6

A vigil is in the works in remembrance of this Beautiful Angel that has gained her wings. More details to come with date, time, and location. If you knew Clarrisa or the family and have pictures or videos of her, or would like to leave a sweet message, you’re more than welcome to send it to Jackie at this email: 4everandalwaysabison@gmail.com

If you would like to help in any monetary form to aid with funeral expenses as this was sudden and tragic, we are NOT setting up a GoFundMe site as we feel her family receiving anything directly is best. Here are her approved ways of helping:

Venmo: @Jackie-Muniz-8
PayPal email: Gblessings@gmail.com

The cheer moms have already made a basket for the four other families involved in the accident. We want to make sure we help these families with prayers and love as they heal physically, mentally, and emotionally and process the loss of their friend.

Visitors are leaving flowers and candles as a memorial at the crash site on Old Newport Road.
