Estrada, Root, Navarro, Campos lead local races

All four leading candidates in local races continued to maintain their leads in the latest election results released by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters on Saturday.

Ricky Estrada has received 1,714 votes, or 47.9 percent of the votes counted in the race for the Menifee City Council District 2 seat. Ben Diederich is running second with 993 votes (27.8 percent), followed by Angel Nevin with 438 votes and Altie Holcomb with 437.

Kyle Root is leading the race for the Menifee Union School District TA3 seat with 1,387 votes (51.8 percent). Dennis Regus has received 1,292 votes (48.2 percent). In the race for the Romoland School District TA1 seat, Cynthia Navarro leads with 402 votes (62.2 percent) to Mary Wiegmann’s 244 (37.7 percent).

In the race for the Perris Union High School District TA1 seat, Steve Campos leads with 3,233 votes (62.7 percent). Randall Freeman has 1,923 votes (37.3 percent).
