Estrada leads in race for Menifee City Council seat

Ricky Estrada leads in the race for the Menifee City Council District 2 seat, according to updated election results released Wednesday night.

Estrada, who promotes himself as an airman and educator, has received 297 votes, most among four candidates, with more results expected to be released on Thursday. Ben Diederich, Menifee Planning Commissioner, has 123 votes, followed by Angel Nevin with 71 and Altie Holcomb with 70.

Kyle Root leads the race for the Menifee Union School District TA3 seat by a slim margin, 208-200, over Dennis Regus. In the race for the Romoland School District board seat, Cynthia Navarro leads Mary Wiegmann, 186-98.

In the race for the Perris Union High School District TA1 board seat, Steve Campos leads with 1,016 votes, followed by Randall Freeman at 667.
