Daniel Gonzales ran for 178 yards and four touchdowns Thursday night to lead the Santa Rosa Academy football team to a 48-14 victory over Hamilton High in Anza.
Gonzales scored the only touchdown of the first quarter, helping to give the Rangers an 8-0 lead, but the game wasn’t close after the second period. Santa Rosa scored 27 more points in that quarter and 13 in the third to put the game away and improve its overall record to 8-1.
Sophomore quarterback Ethan Parslow threw a touchdown pass to Century Castle and Tyler Baxter scored on a run to complement Gonzales’ four-touchdown performance.
Santa Rosa closes out the regular season with a home game against Whittier Christian next Friday, then heads to the CIF playoffs.
