The Menifee City Council on Wednesday approved the awarding of a construction contract that brings the start of work on the Holland Road Overpass closer to reality.
City staff recommended the approval of a bid of $25.85 million by Riverside Construction Company, Inc. – the lowest bidder. The project will consist of a four-lane bridge that carries Holland Road over the 215 Freeway, providing another valuable east-west route for motorists.
Nick Fidler, director of public works, said residents will soon see some earth being moved to prepare for installation of utility lines for the project. Actual construction of the bridge is expected to begin in December, he said.
Completion of the project is expected in March of 2024.
Is there someplace they've put an actual detailed site plan of what the overpass would look like?
