A resident of the Romoland community in Menifee faces a murder charge after his arrest in connection with the shooting death of a man on Tuesday, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at 9:55 a.m. to a residence in the 28800 block of Mapes Road, according to a news release. They located the suspect, 52-year-old Arturo Recinos, still on site and he was taken into custody. Deputies also located a deceased male with gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified Jesus Carlon, 58, of Wildomar.
Recinos (left) was booked into the Southwest Detention Center, where he faces a felony murder charge and a felony charge for parole violation. He has a court date on Friday in Riverside.
