Third in a series of candidate statements for the District 2 Menifee City Council seat:
By Altie Holcomb
I am happy to officially announce my candidacy for Menifee City Council, District 2 for the Nov. 8, 2022 election. I am reaching out to you, your fellow residents, and community leaders for your support, financial contributions, and input on how to move our city forward.
Although I have just started my campaign, I have already received the endorsements of the following broad coalition of leaders and residents: former Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley, former Menifee City Council member Darcy Kuenzi, State Senator Richard Roth, former Eastern Municipal Water District director Ron Sullivan, Menifee Union School District board member Morgan Singleton, former Perris Union High School District trustee Eric Kroencke, Perris City Council member David Starr Rabb, Perris City Council member Malcolm Corona, veterans advocate Raven Hilden, Vietnam Veteran Ed Samuelson, and many others.
I am running for Menifee City Council because I want to help make our city the best in the state. We need to attract quality dining and entertainment options for our residents and keep taxes low. We also need to provide the best opportunities for families to raise their children in a safe environment. My top priorities are supporting our police officers and firefighters, helping local businesses prosper, and relieving traffic congestion.
I think it is important that you know about me. I am a retired U.S. Marine Corps officer with deployments to the Gulf War and Iraq War. I served as a chairman and member of the Menifee Parks, Recreation, and Trails Commission, and am a board member of the Boys & Girls Club and a Life Member of the VFW. I currently serve as a senior district representative for a California State Senator and am a graduate of San Diego State University and Wayland Baptist University.
Though I will run an effective and efficient campaign, I will need your financial contributions on the road to victory. Please help me become your representative on the City Council by investing in my campaign.
If you would like to discuss my candidacy, meet with me, or volunteer for my campaign, please contact me at 760-819-1197.

So you are supported by career politicians and public employees? Is that what this district needs?
